Social Security System Satellite Office Now Open at NCCC Mall Davao

Social Security System (SSS) has expand its mall presence in Davao City. Recently SSS has opened a satellite branch / service office at the 3rd level of NCCC Mall, Matina Davao City.

The services offered at the NCCC Mall service office are:

    1. Issuance of: 

•     SSS Number/Employer ID Number
•     Forms

    2. Simple Correction of Membership and Employer Data
    3. Receipt and Processing of Salary Loan Application
    4. Receipt and Processing of Annual Confirmation of Pensioners Compliance
    5. UMID Data Capture (scheduled)
    6. WEB Registration Assistance and Resetting of Blocked Compliance
    7. Receipt of the following:

•     Request for Correction of Name/Date of Birth
•     Request for Change of Civil Status
•     Request for Change of Dependents/Reporting of Additional dependents
•     Request for Employer Data Ammendments
•     Employer's Report of Newly Hired/Additional Employees
•     Maternity Notification
•     Contribution Collection List

    8. Inquiry or Verification of:

•     Contributions
•     Loan Eligibility/Application Status/Payments
•     Maternity/Retirement/Death/Funeral Benefit Eligibility/Claim Status
•     UMID Application Status

The satellite office was opened to somehow help decongest the number of people transacting in the main SSS branches.

Davao : Cecil's Snack Inn

Cecil's Snack Inn serves Filipino comfort food like palabok, fresh and fried lumpia, batchoy and a lot more. They also serve delicious pastries. Their main branch is at Anda St., Davao City beside the old CAP Building. They also have several stalls in the leading malls in the city.

I like their palabok. It tastes good although I think that the sauce was too thick and overpowering. Price is very affordable. You get a plate of palabok plus a small piece of brownie  and a glass of soft drink for only P88. 

Eclair

Their eclair is the reason why I always go to Cecil's. It's my favorite and I think it's the best in the city. Since my college years I always drop by at Cecil's to buy their famed eclair. A piece of eclair only costs P25.

Davao City : Giardino Gelato

Gelato is an ice cream shop in Davao City. They offer both gelato and sorbet for the lactose-intolerant customers. They are located at the second level of Abreeza Mall in Davao City.

A couple of weeks ago, Giardino Gelato has invited a group of bloggers in Davao City to try out their new offerings for 2014. I was lucky enough to be one of the bloggers who got to taste their new flavors. They showed us the process on how to make the best tasting gelato. They also showed us how they make their super smooth sorbet which I really like a lot. So yes, we were able to taste their straciatella (vanilla w/ chocolate chips) and mango sorbet straight from the Carpigiani (the machine that makes the gelato).
