A Taste of Xiamen at Marco Polo Davao

Wondering where to eat when you visit Tagum City? Yuyu Cafe and Dessert Shop is definitely one of the places you should consider. It's a homegrown restaurant in Tagum City which offers delectable dishes and heavenly desserts. We were lucky to sample some of the the best-selling dishes and desserts of Yuyu Cafe during our recent visit to Tagum City. Chef Emerald Uy is leading the team in Yuyu and she presented us with her delicious creations. It was definitely a night of good food and yummy desserts. We've tried their savory platter, pasta and they are all good but, the winner really are Yuyu Cafe's desserts. Kagikan Exhibit Opens in Tagum City

The City Government of Tagum has formally opened the Kagikan Exhibit at Gaisano Mall of Tagum on February 23, 2014. The exhibit features a collection of instruments, weapons, gears, clothing and more from the tri-people of Tagum --- the Lumads, Muslims and Christians. The exhibit is open to the public and will run until March 8, 2015 as part of the Araw ng Tagum Celebration. The Kagikan Exhibit opening was graced by the city officials of Tagum City, representatives of the Lumad and Muslim communities as well as family members of the first migrants of Tagum City.  During the event, guests were entertained by the Tagum National High School Dance Theater Guild and the Tagum Muslim Youth Dancers with their dance performance.  Tagum City is inviting you to visit the Exhibit and see for yourself the collections that will provide you a glimpse of the Tagumenos illustrious past (kagikan).

Davao Light announces 2-hour rotational brownouts from February 21

Davao Light and Power Co. (DLPC) has recently announced the schedule of a 2-hour rotational power outage starting from February 21 to March 2, 2015 due to the tight power supply situation brought by the scheduled preventive maintenance shutdown of STEAG State Power Inc.'s coal-fired plant.  Please check the official announcement of Davao Light here . Following are some of the things you need to know about this power outage. 1. DLPC subscribers are grouped into three - A, B and C 2.
