Rekado is definitely one of the restaurants you should try especially when you want that "home-cooked" taste. The owners made sure that every dish in the menu is good enough to satisfy the diners' gastronomic cravings. It sits in a two-storey building with modern design and comfortable ambiance. It can accommodate up to almost 200 diners at a time.
Rekado's signature dish is kalderobo or kalderetang adobo, a beef stew with a twist. It's tender and tasty meat will surely make you want more once you have your first bite. Contrary to our typical kaldereta, its sauce is not too thick but it surely have an equally or even better taste.
Another favorite of mine is their Pinaputok na Bangus and Crispy Pork Binagoongan. Their Pinaputok na Bangus has buko (young coconut) meat in its stuffing in addition to the typical spices we usually have. I was actually surprised to see it and I got excited how it tastes like. It tasted good as the buko complemented well with the other spices.

Their Crispy Pork Binagoongan on the other hand, is somehow typical but since I love Pork Binagoongan, it easily captured my palate. It's flavorful taste plus its crispy texture is what makes me like this dish more.

Other dishes that we tried during our food tasting event are Fresh Lumpia, Crispy Beef Tadyang, Baby Back Ribs, Gising Gising, Tokwa't Tenga, and Suman con Leche.

The nicest part of dining at Rekado is that, they serve a generous amount of portion in every dish you order. It's a good value for money. The serving is ideal for families and group of friends. But, they are already preparing for a little change as they will be serving set meals soon for solo diners.
So, what are you waiting for? Try Rekado and fulfill that desire for a Filipino Comfort Food!
