Sun Made Brown Rice and WapatDC to Boost Mindanao Tourism and Promote Fitness

Sun Made Brown Rice has recently inked a partnership with WapatDC, a cycling group based in Mindanao to promote health, fitness and tourism in the land of promise. Sun Made is one of the leading brand of brown rice in the Philippines.

Carlo Lorenzana who is the Vice President of Sun Made started the idea and reached out to WapatDC to strengthen their advocacy in health and fitness. With the same intent of helping the Mindanaoans live a healthier lifestyle, the partnership was formed.  Both entities realized that they could align fitness, health, and tourism to form an advocacy.

Victor Magno, one of the founders of WapatDC shared that the main advocacy of the organization is to promote cycling tourism in Mindanao. He added, "We want  to show people how beautiful Mindanao is, especially from a point of view on a two-wheel vehicle. Driving around in car, looking at sights is fun up to a certain point. After which, it can start to get boring and normally people start to tune out of the scenery, which is pity because the Mindanao countryside is gorgeous. When you do it on two wheel, you have such a different experience."

As part of the partnership, Sun Made supports WapatDC through a financial aid and co branding strategy. It will also help promote the organization's advocacy as well as provide the members of WapatDC a supply of healthy brown rice.
